← Return to EndlessEndless
The companion website adds tools for observing Endless. The tower’s original rules and shared beginning remain unchanged. The minted HTML is preserved as released.

Companion 1.1 · 15 September 2026
- Added exact zeros, ones and total digits for the entire tower at the observed time. Counts include digits beginning to fade in.
- Large totals use approximate compact notation on screen. Select the ledger to see full values and the count’s timestamp. Live totals refresh periodically.
- Save this moment captures its time and viewpoint immediately, then prepares an annotated portrait PNG and an optional exact JSON record. These are observations, not separate editions.
- Counting runs in a background worker using verified checkpoints. The tower can be viewed independently of the ledger. If exact counting fails, no approximate count is presented as exact.
- Existing observation links retain their original artwork version. The tower, epoch, speed and digit rules are unchanged; space around the tower is adjusted to accommodate the ledger.

Shared beginning: 06:00 UTC. Original artwork version: endless-1.0.
Preservation: exact counting is limited by the program’s numerical range. Checkpoints accelerate counting but are not needed to reconstruct the visible tower. Long gaps beyond the latest checkpoint can take time to count. Future compatibility is not guaranteed.
